Abigail Post, M.E.d, LPC,
About Abigail Post (She/Her)
Abigail Post helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults build the skills and confidence needed to navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. Serving patients across Georgia through LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive and engaging therapeutic environment where young people and their families can work toward meaningful growth and lasting change. Abigail provides therapy for concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and childhood behavior issues, while also supporting individuals facing depression, trauma-related concerns, school avoidance, and other mental health needs. Abigail is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents, the population she considers her area of expertise. She understands that young people often communicate and process experiences differently than adults, which is why she incorporates developmentally appropriate approaches into treatment. She enjoys using play-based, art, and expressive techniques when beneficial, helping children and teens explore emotions, strengthen coping skills, and improve communication in ways that feel comfortable and effective. Her goal is to help young clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of overcoming obstacles both at home and at school. Her therapeutic style is flexible and tailored to each individual and family. Abigail commonly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy while also offering additional evidence-based interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. Through individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and higher levels of care such as IOP and PHP programs, she works collaboratively with clients to create practical strategies that support emotional well-being and resilience. Abigail earned her education from the University of West Georgia and began practicing in 2026. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to providing compassionate, clinically informed mental health care. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and believes that trust, authenticity, and collaboration are essential parts of the healing process. Outside of her clinical work, Abigail enjoys exploring creative ways to make therapy engaging and meaningful for young people. Her professional interests include integrating expressive techniques with traditional talk therapy and helping families strengthen connections through positive communication and skill-building. As a LifeStance Health provider serving communities throughout Georgia, Abigail welcomes children, adolescents, teens, and young adults who are seeking support for anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and other mental health challenges.
