Alison Meriwether, LCSW, is committed to helping clients across Indiana navigate their mental health challenges and achieve a better quality of life. She provides a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Alison helps clients challenge negative thoughts and modify maladaptive behaviors. Her empathetic approach and active listening skills are instrumental in validating and motivating clients through various stages of change and life stressors. Alison is particularly passionate about working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She focuses on helping clients break free from the patterns that keep them stuck in cycles of fear, sadness, and trauma. By incorporating techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Exposure Therapy, she equips clients with practical tools to manage their symptoms and regain control over their lives. Alison also has extensive experience working with couples, guiding them through conflicts and helping them build stronger, healthier relationships. In addition to her work with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, Alison has a strong interest in helping clients manage ADHD and eating disorders. She understands the unique challenges these conditions present and works collaboratively with clients to develop strategies that promote healthier habits and improve overall well-being. Alison also provides specialized support for the LGBTQ+ community, military personnel, veterans, and individuals navigating the complexities of grief. When she’s not working, Alison enjoys practicing yoga, weight lifting, and hiking. She also loves binge-watching TV series, walking her dog, and trying out new restaurants. These activities help her maintain a balanced life, something she encourages her clients to strive for as well.
