Neeti Sanghrajka Shah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts who has been practicing since 2018. She received her Master’s degree in clinical social work from Boston college and has experience working with teens, adults, and families. Having worked overseas in different capacities makes Neeti adapt easily to working with individuals/families from different backgrounds, ethnicities, and belief systems, while integrating cultural sensitivity into her work to accommodate and respect differences in opinions, values, and attitudes. Neeti enjoys working with adults, children, and families, using an eclectic approach to the therapeutic process. Neeti’s therapeutic approach is influenced by her experience working in multiple levels of care, both in outpatient, inpatient and crisis settings. A majority of her clinical experience was received while training at Holy family hospital and Mc Lean hospital on the anxiety and mood disorder and substance use inpatient units. Prior to that she was working as a crisis counselor at a suicide prevention agency providing support to individuals struggling with grief, depression, trauma, and suicidal thoughts. A critical aspect for Neeti is working collaboratively with the client to identify their needs while incorporating evidence-based practices to promote one’s self-esteem, relationships, positive change, and outlook on life. She utilizes a multi modal integrative approach and tailors the therapeutic process to meet the needs of her clients while determining which modes and methods will be most helpful for treatment and recovery. She draws from several modalities including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Emotion Focused Therapy. Neeti works with individuals to promote their well-being by providing prevention and/or intervention techniques to support and embrace a growth mindset and helps with recognizing strengths and skills. In her work, Neeti encourages clients to identify goals, problem solve, develop and utilize coping skills, and advocate for themselves so as to enable them to feel empowered and independent. Outside of work, Neeti enjoys reading, traveling, binge-watching thrillers and comedy sitcoms, spending time with her cockapoo, long walks on the beach, and cooking.
