Phil Stan helps teens and adults navigate life’s challenges with a thoughtful, practical, and collaborative approach to therapy. He works with patients throughout Massachusetts, providing individualized care that helps people better understand themselves, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Phil believes that effective therapy starts with a strong therapeutic relationship and a genuine understanding of each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Phil has experience supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also helping clients manage a wide range of mental health concerns. He provides individual therapy for teens and adults and works with diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and individuals on the autism spectrum. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), he tailors treatment to fit each client’s needs. He also offers support for additional mental health concerns and life transitions.

A particular area of passion for Phil is working with individuals experiencing ADHD, as well as those navigating alcohol and drug use issues and questions related to gender identity. He understands that these experiences can affect many aspects of daily life, relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being. His goal is to create a supportive, affirming space where clients can explore challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

Since beginning his clinical practice in 2021, Phil has continued to deepen his expertise in helping clients build practical skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen their capacity to respond to life’s challenges with greater flexibility and confidence. His educational background includes studies at Mount Wachusett Community College, Hampshire College, and Regis College.

Outside of therapy, Phil values maintaining balance through mindfulness, meditation, music, and creative hobbies. He enjoys playing the mandolin, guitar, and piano, building LEGO sets, spending time with his children, and exploring tabletop and video games. His interests in creativity, storytelling, and connection help inform the authentic and compassionate presence he brings to his work.

Through LifeStance Health, Phil is committed to serving teens and adults across Massachusetts with compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Whether someone is seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other concerns, he strives to help them build lasting skills and meaningful progress.
