Sheila provides a safe, non-judgmental space to process trauma, explore values, achieve balance, and grow through challenges and change. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to supporting clients through self-exploration to self-empowerment. Sheila uses a trauma-informed, client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based treatments such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and prolonged exposure therapy (PE), alongside existential, somatic, and psychodynamic therapies. As a licensed mental health counselor, Sheila provides both individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents.

As a yoga teacher and dancer, Sheila is passionate about holistic health, somatic awareness, creativity, and mindful exploration. She helps clients implement mind-body practices and lifestyle adjustments to regulate their nervous system and enhance overall well-being. Sheila has several years of experience working in mental health treatment, with a focus on community mental health clinics, urgent care and crisis intervention, and outreach with complex clinical cases. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring disorders, incorporating harm-reduction principles, relapse-prevention skills, and motivational interviewing to help clients strengthen insight, build coping strategies, and cultivate sustainable change.

Sheila earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her Master of Education degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College. Sheila is committed to lifelong learning, and embraces opportunities to expand her knowledge through professional development, collaboration with colleagues, and life experiences. In her free time, Sheila enjoys spending time with her young daughter, practicing yoga, dancing, exploring the outdoors with her dog, and studying integrative and Ayurvedic medicine.
