About Ally Dong (She/Her)

Ally Dong helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults across Massachusetts navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she works collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, develop practical coping skills, and build confidence in their ability to thrive. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma, Ally creates a supportive environment where clients feel safe exploring their concerns and working toward meaningful, lasting change.

Ally has a special interest in working with ADHD, childhood behavioral concerns, and school avoidance. She understands how academic stress, attention difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and family dynamics can impact a young person’s well-being. By partnering closely with clients and families, she helps individuals strengthen self-awareness, improve daily functioning, and develop strategies that support success at home, in school, and in their relationships.

Creativity is an important part of Ally’s therapeutic approach. She enjoys incorporating creative approaches in therapy when appropriate, recognizing that healing and self-expression can take many forms. In addition to her work with ADHD and childhood concerns, she supports clients experiencing anxiety and trauma-related challenges. Ally also has experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as those in adoption and foster care settings and individuals with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities. She utilizes interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques, while offering additional therapeutic approaches based on each client’s unique needs.

Since beginning her clinical practice in 2024, Ally has been dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized mental health care. Her educational background includes studies at New York University and the University of Pennsylvania, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding psychological wellness across the lifespan. She is also able to provide therapy in Mandarin and Chinese, helping create greater accessibility for diverse communities.

Outside of her clinical work, Ally enjoys a wide range of creative activities, including drawing, painting, watercolor, crochet, embroidery, and jewelry making. Music is another important part of her life, and she enjoys playing piano, guitar, and violin, singing, and participating in musical theatre. She also loves spending time outdoors on sunny days and taking walks, especially when puppies are involved.

Ally welcomes children, teens, and adults throughout Massachusetts who are seeking support for anxiety, ADHD, trauma, behavioral challenges, and other mental health concerns. Through LifeStance Health, she is committed to helping clients build resilience, discover their strengths, and create positive change in their lives.
