Owen McMullen helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults throughout Massachusetts build the skills and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy in a supportive, collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Owen works with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, and other emotional or behavioral concerns, helping them develop practical strategies to improve daily functioning, strengthen resilience, and enhance overall well-being.

Owen has a particular interest in supporting young people facing school avoidance, childhood behavioral challenges, and anxiety-related difficulties. He understands the significant impact these concerns can have on academic success, family relationships, and self-esteem. By working closely with patients and their families, he helps identify underlying challenges, build effective coping skills, and create sustainable pathways toward success both inside and outside the classroom.

His therapeutic approach is individualized to meet each patient’s unique needs and goals. Owen incorporates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques to help patients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. While these are among his primary treatment approaches, he offers additional therapeutic strategies when clinically appropriate.

Since beginning his clinical work in 2022, Owen has been committed to helping young people navigate important developmental stages with greater confidence and self-awareness. He earned his education from Merrimack College and Quinnipiac University, where he developed a strong foundation in counseling and mental health care.

Outside of therapy, Owen enjoys spending time in nature, taking walks, and exploring historical sites and local communities. He is an avid metal detectorist and also enjoys magnet fishing, fishing, and geocaching. In his free time, he enjoys reading and listening to a wide variety of music, including pop, country, hip-hop, and rock.

Through LifeStance Health, Owen proudly serves children, teens, and young adults across Massachusetts. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care that supports long-term growth and emotional wellness. Book Online to schedule an appointment.
