Heather Boston, Therapist

Heather Boston, LMHC

Specializes In:

Heather Boston helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout Massachusetts navigate life’s challenges with compassion, creativity, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, and substance use concerns. Heather is known for creating a supportive and affirming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

Heather is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma, gender identity exploration, and women’s issues. She recognizes that emotional healing is deeply personal and approaches therapy with sensitivity to each patient’s lived experiences, strengths, and goals. Her work often integrates mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier patterns in relationships and daily life. She also incorporates creative and expressive approaches, including art therapy, dance movement therapy, and play therapy, when clinically appropriate.

In addition to working with a broad range of mental health concerns, Heather has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, and those with developmental disabilities. She also helps patients coping with reproductive challenges, chronic medical conditions, pain management concerns, and the emotional impact of major life transitions. Her collaborative approach focuses on helping patients feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

Heather has been practicing since 2006 and earned her education through Lesley University. She values ongoing learning and strives to provide thoughtful, individualized care that reflects each patient’s unique needs and experiences.

Outside of therapy, Heather feels most grounded when she is near the water or engaged in creative activities. She enjoys swimming, kayaking, dancing, attending live concerts, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with family.

Heather Boston provides virtual mental health services across Massachusetts through LifeStance Health.
