Jennifer Williams, LMSW,
About Jennifer Williams (She/Her)
Jennifer Williams, LMSW, helps teens, adults, and older adults across Michigan navigate emotional and behavioral health challenges with compassion, insight, and practical strategies for lasting change. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she works collaboratively with patients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma while creating a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through individual therapy, Jennifer helps patients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful personal growth. Jennifer is especially skilled at helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns that can affect relationships, work, school performance, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. She understands that every person’s experience is unique and tailors treatment to each patient’s goals, strengths, and circumstances. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe therapeutic relationship where healing and progress can occur at a comfortable pace. Using evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, Jennifer helps patients develop healthier thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and build effective coping skills. She also provides support for ADHD, alcohol and drug use issues, grief, women’s issues, later life transitions, sleep difficulties, and other mental health concerns, offering additional therapeutic expertise to meet a wide range of needs. Jennifer values helping people navigate life’s changes, whether they are facing challenges during adolescence, adjusting to adulthood, coping with major transitions, or seeking greater emotional balance later in life. She believes therapy should be a collaborative process that fosters self-awareness, confidence, and sustainable wellness. Outside of her clinical work, Jennifer enjoys camping, following sports, and spending time with dogs. These interests help her maintain balance and bring authenticity and warmth to her work with patients. Jennifer earned her education through Wayne State University and Marygrove College and has dedicated her career to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys.
