About Akeyia Marshall (She/Her)
Akeyia Marshall, LMSW, helps clients struggling with issues related to trauma, grief, identity, anxiety, or major life changes. Her passion is working with individuals to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole, and safe through a holistic and person centered approach. She believed that clients are the experts of their own lives and therefore are the driving force of therapy.
Akeyia earned a Bachelors and Masters of Social Work from Michigan State University. During her career, she has worked with adolescents and adults with various emotional and behavioral issues. She understands that no single approach is viable for every individual, so she has been trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, etc.
