I have been practicing psychotherapy for 23 years. I have worked with adults in individual and family therapy. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Michigan. In addition, I have completed post-graduate training from The Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute for Adult and Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I work with clients age 18+ in individual psychotherapy. I have experience with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenic disorders, PTSD, adult ADHD, personality disorders and I work with veteran issues as I am also a Marine Corps veteran. I do NOT do assessments for FMLA, disability or workman’s comp.

My goal in psychotherapy is to help my clients achieve a greater understanding of themselves. This is achieved by addressing issues in the here-and-now and also understanding the context of the issue’s origins. In understanding these connections, clients will then realize they have a choice as to how they will express conflicts, rather than feeling that they are a victim of them.
