About David Salazar (He/Him)

David Salazar helps adults and seniors in Missouri build stability, resilience, and meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Practicing at LifeStance Health, David provides individual therapy tailored to each person’s goals, whether they are navigating anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma. He supports clients across Missouri with a focus on creating a safe, collaborative space where healing and growth can take place.

David has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also addressing concerns such as life transitions and substance use. He integrates proven approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and offers additional therapeutic techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. His work is grounded in practical strategies that help individuals better understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, and move toward lasting change.

He is particularly attentive to the needs of specialized communities, including first responders, military members and veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals, recognizing the importance of culturally competent care and individualized support.

David has had active-duty experience in the Marine Corp as well as the Army. He had deployments to Iraq in both branches. His vast military experience, as well as additional clinical trainings, has prepared David to work closely and effectively with military veterans. David brings a strong commitment to helping clients overcome complex challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

David began practicing in 2018 and holds a Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential, with education from Walla Walla University and Heritage University. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys staying active through exercise, motorcycle and bike riding, karaoke, and spending time in warm weather.
