Chelsey Bartholet, Therapist

Chelsey Bartholet, MA, LCMHC

Chelsey Bartholet completed graduate degrees at Boston College in both counseling psychology and pastoral ministry. In 2008, Chelsey moved to NC to begin her career as a mental health therapist. Chelsey treats adults healing from the impact of trauma, past childhood and family adversity, depression and anxiety. Chelsey also companions clients adjusting to significant life and identity experiences within marriage, pregnancy and parenthood, vocation and spirituality. Chelsey believes therapy is a vehicle for healing and self-care, and an opportunity to grow in the direction of your best self. Therapy is also a significant investment of time, vulnerability, and resources. For that reason, it is important to enter into therapy with an open mind and readiness for transformation. Some individuals enter into therapy in the midst of deep pain or crisis. Others enter into therapy while quite stable, recognizing that may be the most fruitful time to journey more deeply into themselves, their path, or their relationships. Wherever you are, therapy can be tailored to your unique goals. Chelsey believes the role of the therapist is to balance empathic companionship with skilled guidance. Chelsey’s primary theoretical orientation for the practice of therapy is Cognitive Behavioral, but she also incorporates other theories and techniques when they fit best into the treatment needs of the individual client.
