Ray Kendall, LCSW, helps individuals and families across Ohio navigate life’s challenges with compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. He works collaboratively with adolescents, teens, and adults to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting change. Through a trauma-informed and affirming approach, Ray creates a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward.
Ray specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting clients facing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, substance use, and identity-related challenges. He provides individual and family therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while offering additional therapeutic modalities as needed. Ray has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals in foster and adoptive systems, those on the autism spectrum, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Ray is especially passionate about working with individuals recently discharged from psychiatric hospitalization and those engaged in court-ordered treatment. He is committed to helping clients stabilize, regain confidence, and successfully transition into everyday life with the tools and support they need to thrive.
Outside of his clinical work, Ray enjoys creative and restorative activities such as wood burning and painting, as well as exploring local thrift shops. He is passionate about advocacy and values opportunities to uplift the communities he serves. He also enjoys traveling, sharing unique experiences with his family, reading fantasy and horror novels, and spending time at home with his cats.
