Takojia Walters, LPCC,
About Takojia Walters (She/Her)
Takojia Walters helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clinical expertise, and a commitment to meaningful growth. Serving patients throughout Ohio through LifeStance Health, she provides individual and family therapy for those experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also offering support for a wide range of additional mental health needs.
Takojia believes that effective therapy begins with understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. She works collaboratively with clients to create a supportive environment where they can develop practical skills, gain insight, and build resilience. Her approach is tailored to each individual and family, helping patients overcome obstacles that may be affecting their emotional well-being, relationships, academic success, or daily functioning.
She has experience supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, as well as additional challenges including ADHD, childhood behavioral issues, grief, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, women’s issues, and health-related stressors. To help clients make lasting progress, Takojia incorporates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy, while drawing from other therapeutic approaches based on each client’s needs.
Through both individual and family therapy, Takojia works with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors who are seeking support during difficult periods of life. She is passionate about helping clients identify their strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and build confidence as they work toward improved mental and emotional wellness.
Outside of her clinical work, Takojia enjoys writing, exploring historical events, listening to music, creating and appreciating art, and finding opportunities to help others. These interests contribute to her thoughtful and creative perspective when supporting patients on their mental health journeys.
