About Karen Gray (She/Her)

Karen Gray, LPC, helps adults build stability, insight, and practical skills to manage complex mental health challenges and improve daily functioning. Practicing at LifeStance Health in Pennsylvania, she provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults navigating emotional distress, life transitions, and persistent symptoms that interfere with work, relationships, and overall well-being.

Karen’s clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions, with experience supporting individuals facing mood instability, intrusive thoughts, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She offers individual and group therapy grounded in collaborative goal setting, helping clients strengthen coping strategies and increase resilience. In addition to these core areas, Karen works with a range of additional mental health concerns and tailors treatment to each person’s needs and pace.

A central passion of Karen’s work is supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands the vulnerability of this transition period and prioritizes continuity of care, symptom stabilization, and rebuilding confidence. Karen partners closely with clients to create structure, reinforce skills learned during higher levels of care, and reduce the risk of relapse as they re-engage with daily life.

Karen utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also incorporates mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate and offers additional therapeutic approaches to support individualized care. Karen has experience working with adults on the autism spectrum and values providing an affirming, respectful environment that supports neurodiversity. She is also able to provide care in American Sign Language.

Outside of her clinical work, Karen enjoys a variety of creative crafting projects, including knitting, crocheting, and making home décor items, which reflect her appreciation for patience, creativity, and thoughtful detail.
