Abbey Shultz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas who has been practicing since 2019. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Baylor University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Howard Payne University. Having a patient centered and strengths-based approach, Abbey believes in collaborating with clients right where they are to support them in their journey. Abbey wants to be a part of the clients’ personalized healing experience by recognizing each individual as the expert of their own life and learning about their story. She believes in utilizing each person’s strengths, and then exploring new tools, to help them overcome obstacles. By recognizing that everyone experiences hardships and barriers, Abbey will support clients by thinking creatively to help them reach their full potential to achieve the goals they have set. Abbey recognizes how difficult it can be to ask for help, and she strives to provide a warm and accepting space for clients so that they can thrive. Outside of work, Abbey loves to travel, cook, and all things Disney! She enjoys watching movies, spending quality time with loved ones, and learning new things. She likes to be active in her church and serving her community.

This is my first ever therapist experience in my life, and Abby is amazing. This is my second time seeing her, and she has such a natural way of getting me to open up without ever making me feel pressured or uncomfortable. I’m not typically an emotional person, but she creates a space where I feel safe enough to actually talk and process things. She is incredibly kind, patient, and never makes me feel judged. Instead of just listening, she truly helps me understand and reframe my thoughts, especially when it comes to grief, loss, and past trauma. I’ve started to notice a real shift in the way I think and cope with things, which I didn’t expect so soon! I’m really grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who genuinely cares and knows how to help you grow!!
