Sarah Nixon, LAC,
About Sarah Nixon (She/Her)
Sarah Nixon, LAC, helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults navigate emotional and relationship challenges with a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy. Serving patients across New Jersey through LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive environment where clients can build practical skills, gain insight, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Sarah works with individuals, couples, and groups seeking help for concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression, while tailoring treatment to each person’s unique goals and experiences. A core focus of Sarah’s work is helping people better understand and manage anxiety, ADHD, and depression. She is passionate about supporting clients who may be struggling with overwhelming emotions, difficulties with focus and organization, persistent stress, or changes in mood that affect daily life. Through a compassionate and evidence-based approach, she helps clients identify obstacles, strengthen resilience, and develop strategies that promote emotional well-being and improved functioning at school, work, home, and in relationships. Sarah utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients recognize unhelpful patterns, build healthier coping skills, and create sustainable positive change. Whether working with a child experiencing attention-related challenges, a teen navigating academic or social pressures, an adult managing anxiety, or a couple seeking stronger communication, she emphasizes practical tools that clients can apply in everyday life. Sarah is committed to ongoing learning and providing care that reflects current best practices in mental health treatment. Outside of her professional work, Sarah enjoys working out, competing in races, and spending time with family and friends. These interests reflect her belief in balance, personal growth, and the importance of healthy connections.
Sarah Nixon provides services with supervision.
