Shehali Rajaguru, Resident in Counseling,
About Shehali Rajaguru (She/Her)
Shehali Rajaguru, Resident in Counseling, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across Virginia navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy for those experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and other emotional or behavioral difficulties. Shehali creates a welcoming space where patients can feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward meaningful change and improved overall well-being. Drawing from her own appreciation of the courage it takes to seek support, Shehali approaches therapy as a collaborative process built on trust and authentic human connection. She recognizes that every person brings a unique combination of experiences, relationships, identities, and life circumstances into the therapy room. Her work is guided by cultural responsiveness and an understanding that healing is influenced by the many parts of a person’s story. Shehali is especially passionate about supporting individuals and families affected by anxiety, childhood behavior issues, and gender identity concerns. She enjoys helping young people build confidence, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and navigate challenges at home, in school, and in relationships. She also works with LGBTQ+ individuals and those exploring questions related to identity, belonging, and self-acceptance. Additional areas of focus include depression, grief, trauma, couples concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, life transitions, and family conflict. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and family-focused interventions. She also offers couples and marital counseling and incorporates parenting skills support when beneficial. Outside of her clinical work, Shehali enjoys thrifting, crafting, hosting dinners for friends and family, and gathering loved ones for movie nights.
Shehali Rajaguru provides services with supervision.
