I used to despise the idea of therapy. But a friend pushed me to go and told me to see Anna. It’s been about a year. For the first 6 months all I did was talk, just unloading. She listened. Held it. Tracked it. Caught things I didn’t even know I was saying. No fake nodding, no therapy clichés, no pressure to have an “aha moment” (hate that) every session. She shows up every time. No tiptoeing- can say what I want, how I want. She doesn’t coddle me- Thank God! I want to be challenged, which she does with intention. Funny how loud and wrong I was about therapy. Best life decision I’ve made was to face my “demons” and acknowledge I needed professional therapy. My decades of self help had only resulted in an extreme level of stress just under conscious existence. Being able to expose my inner fears and dark thoughts to a professional therapist wasn’t an easy transition, because it could only exist with earned trust. I’ve found that outcome at Life Stance. I still have a long road ahead, but I’m walking down the road to understanding and mitigation.

I found the same counselor I had a few years ago. I am Never nervous about what ever I need to talk about . I know first , he will always tell me the truth, he will remind me of mindful practices, and he doesn’t hold back . He will call me out on my BS. If I deliver any. I have always been in the mindset to tell only the truth to drs. They hold my life in their hands. It’s kinda hard for me to trust anymore but this man/ mental Health godsend I do trust .

The first person that I met was a young receptionist whom was very professional and then I met Dr. Eric TuTu and he is great and made me decide that he is going to be my doctor. Very professional and LifeStance did good on hiring the receptionist (I wish that I got her name) and Eric TuTu.
