Unmasking Dissociative Identity Disorder : From Cinema’s Myths to Reality – Podcast

LifeStance Regional Clinical Director Mikka McGee joins us to discuss the portrayal of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) in horror films. Mikka delves into the misconceptions and inaccuracies around DID in movies like ‘Identity’, ‘Split’, and ‘Psycho.’

Mikka also touches on a more accurate, though still imperfect, portrayal in the TV show ‘Moon Knight.’ The discussion highlights the importance of representing DID accurately to avoid trivializing the challenges faced by those living with the condition.
