Dr. Beatriz Marfori is board certified in Adult Psychiatry with a sub-specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and has special interest in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, disorders already first diagnosed in childhood and adolescence, women’s issues, schizophrenia, and other psychotic disorders. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Columbia, Missouri in 1992. She completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center in 1994. She was a chief resident in child and adolescent psychiatry during her final year of training. She was awarded her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines in 1982. In 1983, she was accepted in a rotating internship program at the university’s hospital and clinic, and was awarded as one of the five top interns of that year.
