She uses active listening to engage with people so they are heard. She also uses a CBT and person-centered approach, and will pull from other modalities as needed to encourage clients to make changes that lead to personal growth.
Carrissa has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. She has experience working in maternal and community mental health.
