Ms. Travieso is a NYS Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years’ experience working with children, adults and families dealing with symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ms. Travieso’s experience has made her culture sensitive and diverse and she can help in the process of acculturation when arriving to this country.

Ms. Travieso can help children and adolescents acquire the necessary skills to excel in school and in relationships with their parents and peers. Ms. Travieso has completed training in Alternative Families – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT) and she has an extensive background providing parenting skills and training with parents and their children. Ms. Travieso provides psycho-education to parents and guide them to explore ways to communicate and parent their children effectively. Ms. Travieso completed training in Motivational Interviewing. She has experienced working with couples dealing with challenges in their relationship by guiding couples in exploring effective ways to co-parent and communicate with each other.
