Jordan Lidstrom is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2018. Jordan is a therapist who values being genuine, compassionate, and supportive to help create a space for clients to share their thoughts and feelings, while also providing unique perspectives to help challenge and motivate them to live the most fulfilling life possible. She works collaboratively with clients to identify therapy goals and make the most successful and sustainable change possible. She respects the autonomy and individuality of every person and incorporates their unique strengths into the healing process. Jordan came from an education background, with the initial dream of becoming a teacher, and later found her passion for counseling while serving as a volunteer in the Peace Corps.

Through that experience, and her time studying International Disaster Psychology at the University of Denver, she found the value of honoring and incorporating culture into the therapy room. Jordan continuously seeks ways to find the best in ourselves and others, while emphasizing self-compassion. Jordan has substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, predominantly those who are refugees, immigrants, and children of immigrants. Her work has focused on trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, while also working on resolving conflict, increasing self-esteem and self-compassion, dealing with health concerns, processing grief, and addressing problematic sexual behaviors.

Jordan loves music so whenever she has free time you can find her singing or dancing. She also enjoys being active through weightlifting, kickboxing, yoga, hikes, and bike rides. If she’s in the mood for a more low-key day, you can find her watching rom-coms, mysteries, crime films, action, or anything Marvel related.
