Does it feel like you are carrying too much in your backpack? It’s time to set that backpack down and unpack those emotions. You have the power to unload that backpack and Kelsey is here to help you. She is passionate about the counseling process and believes it has a tremendous power to heal. Just by talking and getting out what’s inside, you can begin to feel lighter and less alone. You don’t have to carry these feelings around anymore. What you have to say and who are matters. Kelsey is here to listen and help develop healthy coping mechanisms with you.

She understands how scary it can feel to reach out for help. It can be intimidating to be vulnerable with a stranger. Kelsey creates a safe environment where clients are encouraged to express themselves freely. She is a kind, empathetic individual who enjoys listening and creating a safe environment for her clients.

Kelsey has experience working with adolescents and young adults. She utilizes art, music, writing, and other creative methods within counseling to allow clients to feel comfortable in an open and non-judgmental environment. She applies Narrative Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy along with work in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in sessions. As in life, the counseling process can be uncomfortable at times, but it is Kelsey’s hope that her clients leave a session feeling heard, compassion, validated, hopeful, and empowered to face the world around them.

Kelsey grew up in Tyler, Texas. She went on to graduate from the Texas A&M University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and the University of Texas at Tyler with her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with Junior High and High school students. Before becoming a counselor, Kelsey worked as an Academic Advisor and mentor for college students in East Texas.

She had experience working with individuals facing: Anxiety, Depression, Self-Worth and Self-Esteem, Stress, Life Transitions, Anger Issues, Disordered Eating, and Trauma. We can get to work as early as today. Contact LifeStance Health today to schedule a session with Kelsey to begin healing and prioritizing your mental wellness.
