Micaela Killinger is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor IT. Micaela provides therapy for adults and adolescents. Micaela assists with a variety of concerns including trauma, court involvement, substance use, behavioral concerns, adoption/ out of home placement, school concerns, LGBTQIA+, racial identity, self harm, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. Micaela approaches therapy from a person-centered foundation and combines a variety of evidenced-based treatment modalities including and not limited to: harm reduction, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Micaela strives to create and maintain a treatment environment that balances unconditional positive regard, empathy and compassion with space to explore opportunities for change. Micaela has a master’s degree in professional counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. When not in the office, Micaela enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her friends, family and pets.
