Ayaka Robbins, PMHNP helps adolescents and adults across California navigate life’s emotional, psychological, and psychiatric challenges with compassion and clinical expertise. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and licensed marriage and family therapist, she offers both individual therapy and medication management, tailoring treatment plans to each patient’s unique needs. Ayaka supports teens and adults facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. She serves patients ages 11 through 64, with a deep commitment to improving mental wellness and quality of life.

Ayaka is especially passionate about supporting individuals through trauma, substance use struggles, and psychosis-related challenges. Her experience treating PTSD, schizophrenia, and alcohol and drug use issues allows her to deliver comprehensive, trauma-informed care that fosters both safety and empowerment. She works with patients to identify underlying issues, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience over time. Whether navigating complex trauma histories or the challenges of addiction and severe mental illness, Ayaka provides steady, nonjudgmental support throughout the healing process.

In her work, Ayaka also supports individuals across a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. She has specialized experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, military veterans, and those with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities. Her clinical approach incorporates mindfulness-based interventions and parenting skills training where appropriate. Additional areas of expertise include ADHD, grief, OCD, gender identity exploration, postpartum anxiety and depression, and sleep difficulties.

Outside of her clinical work, Ayaka enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, and sharing quality time with friends and family. A dancer since childhood, she looks forward to returning to her love of dance. She also cherishes her morning coffee as a simple daily ritual of joy and grounding.
