Psychiatry in Colorado Springs, Colorado Sheri Rockwood, Nurse Practitioner

I have always had a passion for helping people with mental health issues. I received my first bachelor’s degree in social work at Brigham Young University. A few years later I received my second bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I working for a few years as a registered nurse with most of my time spent working as a psychiatric nurse. I then received my master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and then went on to get a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner post master’s certification. I am board certified as both a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have an integrated approach to care and believe in the importance of having a therapeutic alliance with my patients. I want my patients to have a voice in their care. I treat all ages of people.
