Amy Walsh, MSN, PMHNP-BC,
About Amy Walsh (She/Her)
Amy Walsh helps adults and older adults across Colorado achieve greater emotional wellness through thoughtful, individualized psychiatric medication management. As an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) at LifeStance Health, she partners with patients to better understand their mental health concerns, develop effective treatment plans, and support lasting improvement in their quality of life. Her areas of expertise include ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also providing care for a broad range of additional mental health conditions. Amy has a particular passion for supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands that the transition from a higher level of care back into daily life can bring uncertainty, challenges, and the need for ongoing support. Through compassionate medication management and close collaboration, she helps patients maintain stability, reduce symptoms, and build confidence as they continue their recovery journey. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating autism spectrum disorders, addiction and substance use concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), postpartum mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and major life transitions. Amy is especially dedicated to helping patients who feel overwhelmed by change, whether they are entering adulthood, adjusting to midlife challenges, or embracing the opportunities and complexities that can come with later life. She also has experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and military veterans. Amy believes that mental health treatment should be personalized and rooted in genuine partnership. She takes time to understand each patient’s goals, challenges, and strengths, creating treatment plans that reflect the whole person rather than just a diagnosis. Her approach emphasizes open communication, respect, and evidence-based care to help patients feel empowered throughout the treatment process. She earned her education from Walden University and Penn State University, building a strong clinical foundation that supports her patient-centered approach to psychiatric care. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking scenic trails or relaxing at the beach. She is also a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys exploring new restaurants and local culinary experiences. A lifelong animal lover, she has fostered hundreds of cats over the years, including four beloved foster failures who became permanent members of her family.
