About Amanda James (She/Her)

Amanda James helps patients find greater stability, understand their symptoms, and make informed decisions about their mental health care. As a Nurse Practitioner at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management and individualized mental health treatment for children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors throughout Colorado. Amanda supports patients with anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD/trauma, as well as additional mental health concerns. She approaches care with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that each patient’s experiences, challenges, and treatment goals are unique. Her work combines thoughtful psychiatric medication management with therapeutic strategies that can help patients strengthen coping skills and improve emotional well-being. Her treatment approach may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and CBT for insomnia, along with additional interventions when appropriate. Amanda works to create a collaborative environment where patients can better understand patterns affecting their mental health and develop practical strategies for meaningful change. Amanda completed her education at Wilkes University and Rhode Island College. Away from work, she enjoys hiking, photography, swimming, gardening, painting, and vintage thrifting. She also enjoys creating personalized hot tea blends and exploring the curiosities of human existence. For children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults seeking mental health care in Colorado, Amanda offers a caring, individualized approach that brings together clinical expertise and genuine respect for each patient’s journey.
