Joseph Miller, PMHNP-BC, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across Illinois manage complex mental health concerns through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care at LifeStance Health. As a prescriber providing medication management services, he works collaboratively with patients to support emotional stability, improve daily functioning, and help them move toward long-term wellness. Joseph treats a wide range of conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also supporting individuals navigating life transitions, behavioral concerns, and additional mental health challenges. Joseph is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are transitioning back into daily life. He understands how vulnerable and overwhelming this period can feel and focuses on creating a safe, structured, and supportive treatment experience that promotes stability, continuity of care, and recovery. His approach emphasizes careful medication management, active listening, and helping patients regain confidence as they move forward after acute psychiatric treatment. He incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles into his care and values building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration. Joseph has experience working with children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, military veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to treating mood and anxiety disorders, he also supports patients experiencing trauma-related concerns, sleep difficulties, and substance use challenges, along with additional psychiatric conditions. Joseph earned his education through Chamberlain University and began practicing in 2026. He is committed to staying informed on current psychiatric treatment approaches and providing thoughtful, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs. Outside of work, Joseph enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, and hiking. He values balance, connection, and the restorative benefits of time outdoors, which help inform his holistic perspective on mental wellness.
