Cecilia Gichaba, PMHNP, MSN, BC.,
About Cecilia Gichaba (She/Her)
Cecilia Gichaba, PMHNP, helps individuals across Indiana achieve mental wellness through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. She serves teens, young adults, adults, and seniors by offering thoughtful medication management and psychiatric evaluations tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. At LifeStance Health, Cecilia is committed to supporting patients navigating complex conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia with an approach rooted in respect, clinical precision, and a deep understanding of individual challenges.
Cecilia provides care for a wide range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, sleep disorders, and postpartum depression and anxiety. She is skilled in substance use treatment and offers medication-assisted care for individuals struggling with alcohol and drug use. Her approach blends psychiatric expertise with genuine compassion to promote lasting recovery and emotional resilience. In addition to medication management, she offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to support healthy sleep and improved functioning.
Cecilia is especially passionate about helping individuals overcome alcohol and drug use issues—a focus that informs much of her clinical work. She believes in addressing the full person behind the diagnosis, guiding patients through stigma, shame, and self-doubt to rediscover purpose and hope. She also has experience working with veterans, military service members, and people with developmental disabilities, offering a safe and inclusive environment for healing.
Outside of her clinical practice, Cecilia enjoys reading personal development and mental health literature, spending time in nature, cooking for family and friends, and volunteering through her local church to promote mental health awareness. She speaks both Swahili and English, helping her connect with a diverse patient population across Indiana.
