Teri Thompson, PMHNP, helps children, teens, and adults navigate complex mental health challenges with thoughtful, compassionate psychiatric care. Serving patients across Indiana through LifeStance Health, she provides medication management that is grounded in collaboration, respect, and a whole-person understanding of mental wellness. Teri works with individuals facing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma, supporting patients as they move toward stability, clarity, and improved quality of life.

A key area of Teri’s passion is supporting individuals with more complex and high-acuity needs. She has extensive experience working with patients who have been recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals, helping ensure continuity of care and smoother transitions back into daily life. Teri also assists individuals navigating current legal matters and those requiring disability-related documentation, approaching these situations with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Her goal is to reduce stress during challenging periods while helping patients feel understood, supported, and empowered.

Teri treats children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors, and she has experience supporting families as part of the treatment process when appropriate. In addition to medication management, her approach may incorporate evidence-based therapeutic strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-informed care. She also offers medication management for substance use concerns and works with select populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, first responders, and military members or veterans. She offers additional areas of focus to meet the diverse needs of her patients.

With more than two decades of clinical experience, Teri brings a steady, informed presence to her work while remaining attentive to each patient’s unique story. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys journaling, community engagement, exploring holistic wellness practices, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family. These interests reflect her belief in balance, connection, and healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
