Betsy K. Brown, PMHNP, helps adults across Indiana manage mental health symptoms with thoughtful medication management and a patient-centered approach to care. Practicing at LifeStance Health, she works with adults and seniors who are seeking greater stability, clarity, and relief from conditions that affect daily functioning, relationships, and overall quality of life.

Betsy specializes in treating ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder through comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management. She also provides medication support for substance use concerns and collaborates closely with patients to ensure treatment plans are practical, effective, and responsive to life changes. Her care is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles and mindfulness strategies to support long-term symptom management. Betsy has experience serving individuals on the autism spectrum, those with developmental disabilities, and military and veteran populations, while also offering additional areas of clinical focus.

A key area of Betsy’s passion is working with individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands the challenges that can arise during this transition and prioritizes continuity of care, medication stabilization, and relapse prevention. Betsy also has a special clinical interest in supporting individuals who have experienced religious trauma, providing respectful, affirming care that acknowledges the impact of these experiences on mental health and identity.

Betsy has been practicing since 2021 and is committed to creating a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and supported in their treatment decisions. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys birdwatching and hiking, activities that reflect her appreciation for mindfulness and time outdoors.
