About Adriene Simpson (She/Her)

Adriene Simpson is an advanced practice registered nurse, board certified as a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. A native of central Kentucky, she has worked as a nurse for more than 14 years in various settings. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her treatment modalities include prescription medication, homeopathic and alternative therapies. She incorporates genetic testing to improve medication management and outcomes. She is a member of the American Nurse Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has experience treating adults, children and geriatric patients with various mental health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and substance use disorders. Miss Adriene is a God send , I don’t know what I would do without her. I got lucky when they assigned me to her when Mr. Lemon left ( he was great as well) She strives above and beyond for me . Constantly helping me even if she don’t know the answer or isn’t her expertise, she goes that extra mile to even just talk to me after hours . I’m usually her last appointment due to my schedule. She’s never gave up on me. I told her as long as I’m at Lifestance I hope I get to keep her forever . She’s truly a one of a kind and has helped me through tough times and has gotten me the help I need . Even if it was just an ear . 10/10 as far as she goes . I can’t really speak on others that much .

I’ve always been treated well at Lifestance Health. Dr. Vincent Mullen was my original doctor. I just had my first visit with Adriene Simpson, APRN, and I believe I will be just as comfortable with her as I was with Dr. Mullen. I also like that they offer telehealth appointments. I live in Richmond, about 30 minutes from Lexington. The convenience and time savings with this option are extremely beneficial!

I have enjoyed working with Adriene. She has been very professional and has treated me with kindness. I am not afraid to discuss any health concerns I may have and when I do have questions I am very confident in her ability managing my medication as well as any health concerns I may have. Adriene has what I call sparkle her kind heart shines through while doing her job.

Adriene took plenty of time to go over my activities and reactions or side effects on Rx. I did not feel rushed. She listened to whatever I felt had a bearing with my emotional concerns and how medicines interacted with each other. I was extremely pleased with her responses to what concerned me.
