Adriene Simpson is an advanced practice registered nurse, board certified as a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. A native of central Kentucky, she has worked as a nurse for more than 14 years in various settings. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her treatment modalities include prescription medication, homeopathic and alternative therapies. She incorporates genetic testing to improve medication management and outcomes. She is a member of the American Nurse Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has experience treating adults, children and geriatric patients with various mental health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and substance use disorders. Adriene took plenty of time to go over my activities and reactions or side effects on Rx. I did not feel rushed. She listened to whatever I felt had a bearing with my emotional concerns and how medicines interacted with each other. I was extremely pleased with her responses to what concerned me.
