Carol Anne Marchetti, PhD, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP) and Clinical Professor at Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences School of Nursing. She earned Bachelor’s degrees in Management/Marketing, and Nursing, from UMass Boston; and received a master’s degree, post-graduate teaching certificate, and PhD from Boston College. She completed post-graduate fellowships through Harvard Vanguard and the Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis. Along with broad and diverse training as a PMHNP, Carol is a seasoned registered nurse who has worked on neonatal and pediatric intensive care units; in-patient and out-patient psychiatric units; and as a sexual assault nurse examiner. She is the former president and current Massachusetts representative of the New England Chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and she serves as a Massachusetts Department of Public Health Rehabilitation Evaluation Committee Member for the Unified Recovery and Monitoring Program. She is a Visiting Scholar at Boston College Connell School of Nursing and the University of Hawaii at Manoa Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing. Carol is grateful to have had so many rich professional and clinical experiences and believes they enhance her practice in meaningful ways. In her practice at LifeStance Health, Carol specializes in working with people who are experiencing anxiety and depression and provides medication management and psychotherapy.
