About Kenneth Yaklin (He/Him)

Kenneth (Ken) Yaklin, PMHNP, helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across Michigan gain greater stability, confidence, and well-being through personalized psychiatric care and medication management. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at LifeStance Health, he partners with patients to understand their unique experiences and develop treatment plans that support lasting progress. Ken provides care for a wide range of mental health concerns, with particular expertise in ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also treating many other conditions. Ken is especially passionate about helping individuals navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis/schizophrenia, grief, and PTSD/trauma. He understands that mental health challenges can affect every aspect of daily life, from relationships and school performance to work and overall health. His approach emphasizes evidence-based care, careful medication management, and collaborative decision-making so patients feel informed, supported, and actively involved in treatment. With experience caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, as well as a background in critical care nursing, Ken brings a broad perspective to mental health treatment. He works with teens, adults, older adults, and members of specialized populations including military veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with autism spectrum disorders. In addition to medication management, he may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and faith-based approaches when appropriate. Ken also offers support for substance use concerns through medication management and provides care for many additional mental health conditions beyond his primary specialties. Ken earned his education through the University of Michigan-Flint and is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that respects each patient’s goals, values, and strengths. He strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and empowered throughout their mental health journey. Outside of work, Ken enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, exercising, watching sports, and making meaningful memories with his family. His appreciation for balance, wellness, and connection helps inform his patient-centered approach to care.
