I’ve been seeing Jeffrey for at least a year now and it’s been quite a journey. I came to him dealing with depression and anxiety and he has patiently helped me navigate several medications which were not easy for me. I seem to be extremely sensitive to psychoactive medications and had negative side effects ranging from “brain zaps” which frightened me, to hair loss. As I discontinued medication after medication Jeffrey didn’t bat an eye. We have finally found the combination that works for me. I must also say that I am the kind of person who looks up the medication being recommended before beginning treatment so I would go back to him to question his recommendations which he deftly handled. I have never felt rushed nor doubted and I have never felt that he wasn’t taking me seriously. In addition I would like to say that I appreciate his straightforward bedside manner, it feels honest and authentic. I was apprehensive about finding a practitioner who would be saccharine sweet which I distrust. Needless to say I would highly recommend him.

I started with Jeffrey Veldman in some of the darkest times of my life. Jeffrey was able to aid me in overcoming my anxiety and depression. I credit my journey back to "normal" to him. Jeffrey was patient with me and tried medications that he believed would only benefit me. Once the right medications were established, he worked diligently on maintaining my mental health and creating an atmosphere that was very welcoming to move forward. Jeffrey was very prompt when answering questions I had along my journey. In the span of a year and a half, I feel I am back to normal once again. I have been off medications and able to maintain while being able to function again. I credit Jeffrey and his knowledge in his field for really giving me my life back. I found it awesome of Jeffrey to still want to check in and meet quarterly moving forward in case symptoms arise in the future. You really get the sense that he cares and to me that is priceless.

When i came to Dr. Jeffrey my life was in shambles. I was battling anxiety, depression, and as i recently discovered bipolar disorder. I came home from my recent grippy sock vacation and sincerely needed some help. I tried a couple psychiatrists before i found Dr. Jeffrey and they just made me appreciate him even more. The first few i saw were just in it for the money you could tell. They wouldn’t listen to me and just kept pushing meds on me without really explaining what they do and they kept increasing dosages until i felt like a zombie. Dr. Jeffrey changed my whole view on psychiatry you can tell he actually cares. Hes kind and caring and very good at what he does. He listens and helps find a solution specifically for you and walks you through every step so it makes sense. You know exactly whats going on and what to expect. I would highly recommend him to anyone out there struggling and looking for help.

I cannot recommend Jeffery Veldman highly enough. He is a truly exceptional psychiatric nurse practitioner. What sets him apart is the combination of his expert knowledge in the field and a profoundly kind and understanding approach. I especially appreciate his patience. I often feel nervous or hesitant about starting new medications, but he takes the time to listen to my concerns, explains things clearly, and never rushes me or dismisses my issues. He is an excellent listener and always prioritizes doing what is best for me as a patient as well as ensures that my treatment plan is tailored to be what is best for me. Finding a provider this knowledgeable and caring is a huge relief. I Highly recommended Jeffery Veldman for anyone seeking thoughtful and patient care.

I began seeing Jeff during one of the darkest times of my life, after the loss of my grandson and while starting a new high-stress job. Jeff has been a pivotal part of my healing journey, helping me navigate anxiety and depression with compassion and expertise. He takes a whole-person approach, offering both behavioral strategies and medication management, which has allowed me to process my grief while still being able to function day to day. Dr. V is a great provider to see when it comes to mental health. I've had many ups and downs with psychiatry over the years and he is by far the most down to earth, understanding, and helpful psychiatrist I've seen. It's a good feeling when you can tell that your provider is dedicated to finding the best fit for you when it comes to medications for mental health. I feel like I have been heard here in ways I never have been by other places. Thank you Dr. Veldman for working with me while I work on myself.
