Lori Sloan, PMHNP-BC Lori Sloan is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina who has been practicing since 1995. She is Board certified by the ANCC in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing as a registered nurse prior to becoming an advanced practice psychiatric nurse. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mount Olive and a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. Lori has an ability to cultivate therapeutic relationships with patients with empathy and respect by allowing them to express concerns and worries without fear of judgment. Lori has more than 27 years of diverse nursing experience, including 15 years in mental health care. She has worked in outpatient community mental health with underserved and severely mentally ill individuals as well as behavioral health and substance use disorder care management. In her spare time, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and friends, attending theater events, watching movies, reading, attending concerts, beach trips, and traveling.
