Elva Ochoa, PMHNP-BC, is a bilingual Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care to adolescents and adults. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is passionate about increasing access to quality psychiatric services for diverse and underserved communities.

Prior to becoming a PMHNP, Elva gained extensive experience as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatry, where she cared for individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and acute psychiatric crises. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning.

Elva takes a holistic approach to mental health care, emphasizing the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. She strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.

Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and improving access to mental health services for Spanish-speaking populations.
