Kelsey Heckmann, PMHNP,
About Kelsey Heckmann (She/Her)
Kelsey Heckmann, PMHNP, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across New Jersey navigate mental health challenges with a compassionate, individualized approach to psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management services and partners closely with patients and families to better understand symptoms, improve daily functioning, and support long-term emotional wellness. Her clinical experience includes treating conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also addressing a wide range of additional mental health concerns. Kelsey is particularly passionate about helping young people who are struggling with childhood behavioral issues, school-related challenges, and emotional difficulties that impact their success at home, in school, and in relationships. She understands that early intervention can make a meaningful difference and works collaboratively with children, teens, and their caregivers to develop treatment plans that meet each patient’s unique needs. She also has experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in foster or adoptive families, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Her care is grounded in respect, active listening, and a commitment to helping patients feel understood throughout their treatment journey. Kelsey believes that effective psychiatric care should be both evidence-based and personalized, empowering patients to take an active role in their mental health. In addition to ADHD, anxiety, and depression, she has experience treating many other conditions and concerns across the lifespan. Outside of work, Kelsey has been a dancer throughout her life and continues to teach dance when she has the opportunity. She also enjoys reading and spending time watching movies with friends and family.
