Debra Santos, MSN, PMHNP, Psychiatry in Cincinnati, Ohio

Debra Santos is an advanced practice nurse board certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center in Mental Health and licensed by the states of Connecticut and Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut University and her master’s degree in nursing from Yale University. She has provided psychiatric nursing services for more than 25 years in inpatient, outpatient,and private practice settings. She has 15 years of experience in emergency and mobile crisis intervention and has worked with community outreach workers and police to help manage patients in crisis. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, medical and psychiatric evaluations, group and individual therapies and management of symptoms through an integrative use of psychodynamic, existential, cognitive-behavioral and narrative modalities. Her areas of specialty include grief counseling, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, identity issues, stress management and medication management for adult patients. Her additional interests include the integration of behavioral health and public/community mental health through outreach and education.
