About Sarah Callander (She/Her)
Sarah Callander is dedicated to helping teens, adults, and older adults find stability, relief, and renewed confidence in their mental health journey. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management services for patients across Ohio, partnering with each individual to create personalized treatment plans that support lasting wellness. Sarah works with a wide range of mental health concerns and is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive environment.
Sarah has experience treating conditions including anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also supporting individuals facing many other behavioral health challenges. She values a collaborative approach to care, ensuring that patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in treatment decisions. Her work is informed by evidence-based practices, including principles drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, helping patients build practical skills that complement medication management.
She is especially passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and complex mental health concerns that impact daily functioning and overall well-being. Sarah also has experience supporting first responders and military veterans, recognizing the unique stressors these populations may encounter. In addition to her primary areas of expertise, she provides care for a broad range of mental health conditions and treatment needs.
Sarah earned her education through Chamberlain University, where she developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care and evidence-based psychiatric treatment. She remains committed to ongoing learning and staying current with advances in mental health care to provide the highest quality support to her patients.
Outside of her clinical work, Sarah enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors through hiking, running, long walks, and exercise. She is an avid reader with a particular appreciation for fiction and is deeply committed to volunteering within the animal community. Her passion for advocating for and supporting animals in need reflects the same compassion and dedication that she brings to her work with patients.
