About Amanda Dozier (She/Her)

Amanda Dozier helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across Ohio navigate mental health challenges with compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Amanda works with individuals experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also offering support for a wide range of additional mental health concerns.

One area Amanda is especially passionate about is helping individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands that the transition from inpatient care back to everyday life can feel overwhelming and uncertain. Amanda partners closely with patients during this critical period, helping them maintain stability, manage medications effectively, reduce the risk of relapse, and build a foundation for long-term wellness. Her approach emphasizes continuity of care, collaboration, and practical strategies that support ongoing recovery.

Amanda incorporates principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices into her treatment approach. She values creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey. In addition to working with a broad patient population, she has experience supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and those with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Amanda also offers care for many additional mental health conditions and life challenges beyond her primary areas of focus.

She earned her education from Ohio University, where she developed a strong foundation in patient-centered healthcare and psychiatric treatment. Amanda believes that effective mental health care combines clinical expertise with genuine human connection, helping each patient feel understood while working toward meaningful progress.

Outside of her professional role, Amanda enjoys spending time near the water, making memories with her family, and watching her children experience and discover the world around them. These experiences help shape the empathy, balance, and perspective she brings to her work with patients every day.
