Lifestance did a fantastic job of placing me with Karen Contreras as I am a somewhat elderly patient and she made me feel right at home. She was very professional yet very personable as well. I recently suffered a seizure and since it was my first visit she kept my meds simple until I finish with my neurologist and said we will go from there. I was very displeased with my previous psychiatrist so I really think I found a winner. Also the Telehealth visits will save me a lot of money on gas as I was driving 30 miles sometimes twice a month to see my psychiatrist and "case manager" which was doing me no good at all.

Karen Contreras has been a huge help in navigating my journey battling depression/anxiety. I came in at a very low point in my life, and had seen other psychiatrists. Where others wanted to treat the session as a “sales-pitch” for new procedures, Mrs. Contreras helped me by immediately prescribing medicine to help cope with the difficulties and pressure of life in the moment. It was quite literally life-saving attention.

Karen is the best. I've had many psychiatrists over the past 20 years as I had been disabled from a severe car accident. I have been in mental facility many times. Since I began seeing Karen last year I finally feel very happy. Medication is great, my sleep is great, and she keeps the medication very well regulated. She has also become a great friend who I feel I can be totally honest with as she is with me.

I had to pull her teeth to get the Xanax, "but it's alright now; in fact it's a gas." I have never done better . . . -- -- * * * * * * Nurse Contreras has an amazing ear.
