Brian Tran, PMHNP,
About Brian Tran (He/Him)
Brian Tran, PMHNP, helps adults across Virginia navigate mental health challenges with a thoughtful, evidence-based approach that combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner at LifeStance Health, he provides medication management for adults experiencing conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also supporting individuals facing bipolar disorder, PTSD and trauma-related concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, and other mental health conditions. His goal is to create a collaborative treatment experience where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care. Brian is particularly passionate about helping individuals manage ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He understands how these conditions can affect relationships, work performance, emotional well-being, and daily functioning. By taking time to understand each person’s unique experiences and goals, he develops individualized treatment plans designed to improve symptoms, strengthen resilience, and support long-term wellness. He values open communication and believes that effective psychiatric care begins with a strong therapeutic partnership. In addition to medication management, Brian incorporates principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into his work when appropriate. He focuses on helping patients build psychological flexibility, develop healthier coping skills, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live. He also treats a wide range of other mental health concerns, including bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-partum depression and anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia, and trauma-related conditions. Outside of practice, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, journaling, meditating, cooking, reading, photography, exploring the outdoors, and discovering great coffee.
