Hi! My name is Saskia Matthews and I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner! My focus is to make sure people feel supported and heard when making decisions regarding their psychiatric medications and general mental health. I believe everyone has mental health needs and my goal is to reduce stigma associated with mental illness and to improve access to care to help people achieve a better quality of life. I grew up in Baltimore County and have also lived in Washington DC, Alexandria VA and Boston, MA. In my spare time I love to go running with my rescue pitbull and volunteer at a local animal rescue. I look forward to working with you!

I feel heard. SASKIA is compassionate and understanding of my reluctance to take mental health meds. So she explains the benefits and is easing me in from the shore rather than tossing me into the deep end. I’m grateful for that.
