Tressa Blythe, PMHNP,
About Tressa Blythe (She/Her)
Tressa Blythe, PMHNP, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate mental health challenges with compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management for patients throughout Virginia, working collaboratively to help individuals better understand their symptoms, improve daily functioning, and achieve meaningful progress toward their personal goals. Tressa treats a wide range of mental health conditions, with particular expertise in ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also providing support for additional concerns. A key focus of Tressa’s practice is helping young people and families manage ADHD, childhood behavioral concerns, and related emotional challenges. She is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and teens as they develop healthier coping skills, improve focus and organization, strengthen self-esteem, and succeed at home, in school, and in their relationships. She understands the unique developmental needs of younger patients and tailors treatment plans to support both the individual and their support system. Tressa takes a patient-centered approach that recognizes the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles into care and works closely with each patient to create individualized treatment plans. In addition to ADHD, anxiety, and depression, she has experience treating a variety of mental health concerns, including bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, postpartum depression and anxiety, gender identity concerns, and sleep disorders. She earned her education through Chamberlain University and is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her patients receive high-quality psychiatric care informed by current clinical best practices. Outside of work, Tressa enjoys spending time with family, discovering great food, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.
