I approach treatment from a holistic point of view. I am a strong believer of the influence of our lifestyle on our emotions and vice versa. With my patients I use a combination of medication and psychotherapy. The psychodynamic approach is a great part of my assessment and treatment which allows me to fully and better understand my patients. My expertise includes a wide range of disorders including mood disorders, anxiety, childhood disorders, behavior problems in children, ADHD, personality disorders, LGBT issues, adjustments to various life stressors that might affect your level of functioning.

I see patients age 4 and up. I am an internationally trained psychiatrist with basic medical education in Romania. I received my adult psychiatry training at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and then completed the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. I lived and practiced medicine and psychiatry both in Europe and United States. During my career I practiced and served as an Assistant Professor at the Medical University in Romania. My teaching career continued as a Clinical Instructor and Supervisor at George Washington University of Medicine for medical students and Walter Reed psychiatry residents. I have continuous involvement in the teaching /training/supervision of other medical providers including the nurse practitioners. I worked as a psychiatrist on the East Coast (New York, Washington DC and Massachusetts) for 10 years. For the past few years , I have been involved in leadership programs at Pacific Coast Psychiatric Associates- Lifestance both in clinical and research practice.

I am fluent in Romanian, Serbian and understand French and Spanish. It is an honor to be a part of LifeStance.

Dr. Jurici is an amazing doctor because she is a wonderful human being. It is plain to see her calling to her profession lies her genuine interest in helping her patients. She is has patience, understanding, and takes TIME with you rather than the typical ten min med chat that other providers I’ve had in the past do. I found her three years after a Dr who was much like her in terms of giving a patient time and interest and real care, had retired. I tried several times to find someone new only to be met with impersonal online forms with to even schedule an appt with no person to speak to on the phone. Or only options for leaving messages or sending emails to schedule an appt or see if they were accepting new patients for providers who’d never get back to you or were no longer taking new patients even though their web site had no indication. And so many don’t even take insurance - like mental health is some luxury …. I tried two people that were not a good fit amongst all that time and effort. Tried ONE MORE time…and thank goodness I did. Because I found Dr Jurici who I can visit tele health and also in person in occasion. It’s the way healthcare should be and used to be. She’s literally helped me in discovering meds I’d been prescribed for some time had a major contraindication that needed remedy as well as finding a new med that has absolutely changed things in a significant way for the better. I write only reviews that truly I’m inspired to write, and Dr Jurici not only inspires me to write this but she has helped me feel inspired again in general. I’m very grateful to have found her.

I saw Dr. Jurici for five years and would have happily seen her for the rest of my life had my insurance not changed. She is kind, compassionate, and a really enjoyable person to talk to in general. I came to her fairly certain about my diagnoses (ADHD, anxiety) and she was supportive in helping me deal with them and talking through medication options. With her help and guidance I arrived at a great treatment plan, and when my needs evolved, she was right there to offer and explain new options. Her office makes it easy to get in touch (an online portal! no sitting on hold on the phone!!) and everybody there was always very helpful. If you are looking for a psychiatrist I cannot recommend her highly enough. I miss her!

Dr. Jurici has worked with me for 5 years. These were some of the hardest years of my life. She worked with me every step of my journey. She is incredibly patient and kind. Dr. Jurici is by far the most kind and thoughtful provider I’ve ever experienced. Over our visits, I found that she listens with care, is not judgemental, and quickly returns any messages. She is also up to date on medical issues, which became an important topic for me . I thank Dr. Jurici and hope to be a patient again.

Dr. Jurici is wonderful to work with. She asks all the right questions and is diligent in figuring out what the cause of the distress is and how to help accordingly. She's very accessible. I can reach her very easily to have adjustments made or to schedule a quick appointment. It's been very beneficial.

Dr. Jurici was fantastic. She is caring and attentive. She doesn't immediately rely on pharmaceuticals as a solution. She's more open minded to alternative solutions if is applicable.
